Going abroad can be a once in a lifetime experience. We encourage you to do so, but it will take very careful planning with this major due to our sequence of anatomy and physiology courses that are only offered once per year. For more information about the major, please go to Major Requirements.

Here are some tips related to our major and finding coursework:
For the major, we generally will only take coursework from English-speaking countries, or those with strong teaching/research environments in English. Coursework that has been approved in the past has come from:
- England
- New Zealand
- Scotland
- Australia
- Ireland
- Canada
You can fulfill major preparation courses abroad with preapproval in all areas:
- Life Science including equivalents to LS 1, 2, 3, or 4
- General and Organic Chemistry
- Physics (calculus-based)
Upper division electives in the following areas have been approved in the past if available. Please provide as much information about the courses as possible ahead of time. A full syllabus is preferred.

- Microbiology
- Biomechanics
- Molecular Biology
- Exercise Physiology
- Neuroscience
- Human Anatomy or Physiology
- Pharmacology
- Kinesiology
